The opening proclamation of "Alleluia" in tight harmonies sets the scene for a fascinating variety of folk oriented fare. The first track, along with the title track, could tempt any sour faced deacon to prance around his living room waving his hanky. In contrast, acapella moments on "He Is Coming" and "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" are truly tingling. Other tracks are probably best described as folk rock which may not be to the taste of folkie purists. Even so, the vocals are fresh and clear, qualities often associated with Canada, the group's nation of origin. Disappointingly none of them has a beard. Stereotypical or not, traditional folk instruments feature (Irish whistle, fiddle, mandolin, etc) with satisfying results.
