This thought-provoking single from Southampton-based group The Bright Expression is ultimately a worship song without ever mentioning God or Jesus and refreshingly bucks the trend of much of the similar sounding praise fare currently on the market. Set to an initially ethereal and ambient backdrop, singer Leigh Patching describes the inner tension of her mind and asks for her walls to be brought down like Jericho before agreeing to lay down her goals and ghosts in devotion. Things turn on a sixpence near the end with a scene-stealing industrial beat drop which paves the way for an epic guitar solo from Jim Rogers - all of which combined makes for a stunningly cinematic piece of work from this inventive indietronica act.
