ThaPsalmist has been on the scene for some time having performed with various names such as Man Of War and Soup. As far as debut albums go this is healthy, with very purposeful and compulsive lyrics made all the more poignant by his insightful poetic skills. "Meiosis" is a big standout, a chilled number that oozes a positive message of knowledge being a key to freedom and creativity, "hip-hop, should make you use your mind." Musically though, nothing ground breaking, with most tracks showing little progression and sometimes verging on monotonous. An obvious developing sound that should, given time and ThaPsalmist's drive and purpose, come good.
