Terry Burrus has cooked up a soulful soufflé, using the correct ingredients and has still produced a flop! Terry is no raw beginner; he's worked with top artists like Chaka Khan and Lena Home. And on this set he's assisted by excellent lead singers and soloists (blood brother Al Green's producer Al B Sure amongst them). Six instrumental of Santana-cum-Koinonia style soul/jazz. Muzak to the ears, they dominate an odd selection of songs. I was surprised by the only tasteful song "Don't Cry", vintage Motown, lyrics styled ala Be Be and CeCe Winans, featuring a Gladys Knight soundalike Natalie Jackson. In comparison with the cacophony of "Tell Me How You Feel" the polished arrangements of "Finally In Love" and "Hold On To Me" were positively brilliant, but spoiled for me by the luvspeak which well and truly thrusts this album into the world's mould.
