As followers of US CCM will know, Tenth Avenue North are one of today's big hitters so a Christmas album is hardly unexpected. Yet although there are plenty of well-known holiday evergreens here - "Good King Wenceslas", "Deck The Halls", "Go Tell It On The Mountain" - what is less predictable are the arrangements shown here. Take, for instance, the delicious horn section on "O Come All Ye Faithful" or the way in which choice guests Zach Williams, Britt Nicole and Colton Dixon all add something fresh to the well-known carols/Christmas songs. TAN's lead singer Jason Jamison shows considerable crooning prowess and although the big band jazz arrangements won't be to everyone's taste this is a fun-filled holiday set which clearly demonstrates the pop rockers' versatility.
