TK is Tony and Kim Bolton, resident in Walton Beach, Florida, and this 12-song CD has been put together using some well-known names in US CCM, particularly in the backing vocals department; Lisa Bevill, Gary Janney, Chris Rodriguez and Mark Heimermann are all involved. The quality of the production is undoubted; the quality of the songs; "Ay, there's the rub," quote Hamlet in his famed soliloquy. The songs range from the good to the gruesome. The track order doesn't help, as the most gruesome track on the album comes first; 'Goodnight Kiss' is a glutinous cheesefest that makes 'Butterfly Kisses' seem like a protest song! If you don't get put off irrevocably by that, and you're prepared to persevere, things get much better. Two highlights; 'Together We Can' has a punchy arrangement with a message to match; and 'Love Is The Answer' has Al Denson's name in the song credits, with lyrics that declare whatever the question, love is the answer. If you ignore track one, this is reasonable soft pop fare.
