TVB have come a long way since they were a tame pop/rock band doing sanctified covers of pop hits. Leader Andrew Flannagan heads up this musical team who work as part of YFC's schools ministry and this seven-track CD is aimed at leaving behind something of the message of their ministry long after they've moved onto a new school. Covering a few different styles, "Rewind" is catchy dance pop with singer Ruth McKeown doing a fine job over a bouncy groove. "Hightime" has a harder, rockier sound whilst "Shake" gets back into the dancy territory before the title cut settles on a funky pop rock groove. Hrnmm...TVB are covering all the bases as they must if they are going to make an evangelistic impact but it does make for a strange listening experience as it almost feels like there are two bands on this CD. Highlights are "Never Known", which is a moody atmospheric ballad, and the cool remix of "Long 2B Long" did the business for me. TVB have never sounded this good and although like many small British bands, they are still financially under-resourced, the end product has its moments!
