If you know your Irish music scene you'll know that Susan is a long established star whose concerts are usually sold out and whose numerous albums have been big sellers. Now this three CD set usefully gives an overview of her 38 year recording history. It's a shame that there aren't more of her gospel songs - her moving rendition of "How Great Thou Art" is sung with considerable passion - and few of the tracks like "50s Love Song Medley" and "Let's Go To Vegas" teeter perilously close to karaoke. But if your ears are attuned to middle of the road Irish country interspersed with some Emerald Isle ditties like "The Curragh Of Kildare" and "Old Armagh" you'll find much to enjoy in this retrospective of the warm-hearted song communicator.
