It must be the short-lived existence but lasting influence of Grassrootz Festival that has inspired so many bands to emerge in the Kent area. Strangeday have been going for a few years but this year they seem to have blossomed. They've played festivals such as Newday, Antfest and Greenbelt and even landed themselves a spot at Exit Festival in Serbia! And (of course) they brought out their debut album. Their driving indie/Brit (occasionally funk) rock has obviously done the trick in winning over numerous crowds, both Christian and mainstream, and I can see why. Having said that, it didn't personally grab me. There are some nice tasty morsels here and there, just not enough to make up a wholesome filling meal (album). They sound like a band on the verge of creating two or three killer tunes, so I look forward to hearing their next release. It could be the fact that they self-produced this album that limited their potential. This band can create great sounds but an outside influence (ie, a quality producer) might have been what it took to arrange those moments into truly great tunes. This sounds like a great band that have yet to produce their best work but this is certainly a step forward for them.

"There are some nice tasty morsels here and there, just not enough to make up a wholesome filling meal (album)."

So glad you explained your metaphor. As a christian I am too used to being spoonfed to be able to work them out.

You're entitled to your opinion but at least give the impression that you've got further than the first few tracks!
Also: They've played Newday and Greenbelt before.
Still, you get a point for spotting that it was Serbia and not Croatia (please note Mr Cummings)
