Recorded in just three days, this veritable one-man band has put together his seventh album in just seven years - good going by any standards. But the question is, is it all about quality or quantity? Judging by the evidence here, I'd have to say the former. Definitely out of the Travis/Coldplay school but with numerous added extras, Stewart's songs have a haunting, classic sound to them that compels you to stay for more. Part of the charm is that throughout, the sound is just a little raw and ragged at the edges, but cuts like "Where Others Fail", Radiohead-esque "On The Pulse", bizarre "The Booster Best", rhythmically tricky "Over And In" and "Search Me" charm their way into your heart and refuse to leave. Simply one of the most interesting, original and unusual albums I've heard in a long time.
