Lincolnshire-based Stephen Shepherd and his wife Debbie have been writing songs about their faith for years and now they've recorded some with the production help of well known musician and worship leader Colin Owen. No two of the nine songs on the album have the same style apart from Stephen's gentle vocals so be prepared for a pic 'n' mix. The album opens with a gentle balled entitled "Winds Of Doubt", covers a good Jewish 'knees-up' with "Jeshua" half way through and ends up with "A Song For Scotland" with some thoughtfully penned lyrics and pleasant, though hardly groundbreaking, melodies along the way. If that sounds like your cup of tea then grab a saucer and sit back and enjoy. Stephen's currently working on a second album which he aims to make available at the end of the year so friends, family and supporters.watch this space.
