Here's a defined sound from Smooth who breaks it down for us on an old school/pop tip that is sure to surprise. Although the initial impression occasionally seems slightly dated, given a good listening to, Smooth gives us the real deal on a healthy number of tracks. "Friend Of Mine" is a "reach inta your soul and take up residence on a permanent basis" kinda track. Beautifully slick, incorporating a rich blend of acoustic instrumentation and a mesmeric, breathy hook, this track needs major exposure. "The Game Is Over" is another real standout due to the ear catching vox that punctuate this fresh and creatively crafted groove, funktastic! When all's said and done this one's well worth the getting'.
