This 2010 compilation really crams it in. We have The La's "There She Goes", Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over"' and their own "Kiss Me" - outstanding in no particular order, and for the rest of the album we are coasting in blissful agreement. We can forgive the misnomer of the title on the basis that this truly is a celebration of the "Sixpence" canon. The 2002 title "Breathe Your Name" for instance, never charted, but, hey - nobody's checking up and it is a gem with Leigh Nash's haunting voice purring Matt Slocum's lyrics of divine reverence. Arrangement and production values are outstanding, the covers are totally believable and you really do not feel you are revisiting recent pop history; it is all fresh and does your heart good.
