Hailing from Fountain Vineyard Christian Fellowship in the South African city of Port Elizabeth, worship collective Singing Our Stories have released a second volume of praise songs that seek to tell of God's goodness in each of their lives. Kicking off with the overly repetitive "Welcome You Here", this somewhat plodding eight-track offering unfortunately suffers from a tendency to stay too long in mid-tempo territory whilst not offering up anything terribly fresh lyrically or melodically to differentiate it from the vast array of modern worship material on the market. All involved keep things relatively simple in terms of instrumentation with acoustic guitars, drums and bass being the order of the day and more variety all around is required to maintain interest in these undoubtedly God-honouring but rather lengthy songs. Nonetheless, what sounds like a large roster of different singers proves that there is enough talent within Fountain Vineyard to suggest that the next volume will be an improvement.
