This single from New York-based R&B gospel singer Simply Moe takes the premise of seeking forgiveness from God for having done something sinful as its central theme. Set to a no frills piano-led R&B backing created by producers Benjamin Keys and Cedric Davis, Moe's gentle vocals get the worthwhile message across in competent fashion despite being occasionally obscured by the backing vocal parts in the overall mix. The Moe-penned lyrics are straightforward enough and promote God's unconditional love for us to good effect although a monotone and uninterested-sounding contribution from rapper Black fails to hit the mark. Near the end, Moe breaks into the chorus of the Rich Mullins classic "Awesome God" and whilst that works well enough despite not lending any originality to proceedings.
