From deepest Derby, and the scarily-named Ozzy Road church (visions of everybody dressed in black, shambling around shouting “Sharon!”, for some reason) come this bunch of young people who have come up via the church worship team. To their credit, they play in pubs and at open-air gatherings, with music that has been described as “not for the faint hearted.” There’s certainly a hard edge to this worship set and with pieces such as the prophetic “River Of Life” aimed at Derby itself, it would be churlish to be too critical. I have to say though that the band's lack of experience shows on this disc (which as I’ve said so often before is a very unforgiving medium). Timing and tuning need to be attended to and more adventurous vocal arrangements might be worth considering. I’m sure Shore~ (Did you really say that? Ed) go down great live, and I wouldn’t want to be a discouragement, but there’s plenty of scope for improvement here in what is otherwise a commendable effort.
