Subtitled 'Taking The Gospel To The Streets', this truly lives up to its claim. Music buffs of all persuasions are only too familiar with various artists compilations which have some good cuts and a lot of weaker also-rans. But not this joint! From the insidious ShonLock opener "Boogie Bounce" (already playlisted by Cross Rhythms radio) to the righteous sistah Mariatha Markel giving us a "Dedication To Holy Hip-Hop" closer, this is a solid delight and clearly documents the seismic shift in today's Christian music. Catch the rapid rapping on Ziklag's "Raw & Uncut" showing T-Bone has some competition in the speed stakes, or catch the old skool delights of gospel hip-hop pioneers the Dynamic Twins on "This Is Me". Or if you want some REALLY radical praise and worship, catch diva Shei Atkins on "Praise Him". Wherever you look you'll find some great, raw rapping talent with messages a million miles from the bling-obsessed mainstream.
