Arkansas-based Shirlene is the lead singer of family vocal group The Nelson Wonders and here shares her 2011 five-song debut. Apparently the title track was featured on Gospel USA magazine's 'Artist Favourites, Volume 11' at the tail end of last year and subsequently Shirlene has appeared at various conferences in the southern states. Vocally, the lady certainly has powerhouse chops to make headway on the gospel scene. Four of the tunes here self-penned and she shows some skill at songwriting, although lyrically the themes are way too familiar. The title track stands out with its roll call of biblical and personal miracles pointing Shirlene and her listeners towards the God who inspires us to shout "Wow!" An encouraging debut.
