Sherri has been around for a while in the States - her first album was nearly 10 years ago - and has a busy schedule of concerts, worship leading and conferences. 'These Things Don't Change' - released in 2007 - shows the maturity of both songwriting and musicianship. Comparisons will be drawn to Eva Cassidy with a expressive, breathy vocals and deft guitar picking. The songs are all well crafted and the arrangements and production give plenty of space for the lyrics to come through. Subtle use of instrumentation weaving in and out of the album's production helps give 'These Things Don't Change' a wonderfully mellow feel leaving the listener time to ponder on the stories being told in the songs. A gem of an album.
