This new soul/gospel singer from Del City, Oklahoma, released this EP in 2013 and has subsequently poured out a shoal of singles. Sean quotes his influences as Soul Stirrers (Sam Cooke), Dixie Hummingbirds and John Legend and the five tracks here present his smooth vocals exploring subjects like sexual temptation ("Thirty" with rap from Sly Speaks and Adam) and becoming anchored in faith (on a remix of "No Never" which got my feet tapping from first listen). Some songs are not so strong however, "Silver And Gold" wrapped in a "Neo Soul Remix" doesn't quite hit the mark while the opener "I Need It" lacks a hook. There are good songs here but the challenge for Sean, as for many other singers, is getting consistently good material. Sadly there is not enough of it here.
