The venerable Mr. Brown has been around the US Christian music circuit for rather more years than he might care to remember, and equally he might not like to be reminded of a few rather glutinous offerings from the late '70s and early '80s, particularly one called "He Will Carry You", covered by just about every inspo warbler worth his/her salt. These days Scott tends towards the more comfortable and less OTT end of the musical spectrum, and this self-penned and self-produced offering will appeal to all who like their praise music nice 'n' easy. Truth to tell, there are plenty of purveyors of this kind of fare, and in a crowded market-place, it helps to have a track record (no pun intended!) so that the punters know what to expect. In Scott's case, what we expect are well-written straightforward songs directed God-wards, and that's what we get. Not the cutting edge by any means, but not to be sniffed at; loads of folks get blessed by this style of music.
