Scott Wesley Brown's heart for missionary work has led to him joining with Hosanna! Music to produce this album, 'Mission Of Praise'. In the opening track, "It Is A Good Thing", Scott reminds us to "sing praises to the King" and the album continues to pursue the theme of God's omnipotence and what he requires from his people. The multi-national influences apparent in the various tracks aid in keeping the "missionary God" aspect to the forefront as phrases such as "Lord of all the nations" (track 3), "Lift up our eyes Lord unto the world" (track 5) and "For every nation will be healed" (track 6) use varying styles to emphasise the Gospel message. Track 7, "All Around The Throne", is a special favourite of mine and will, I am sure, be of great blessing to any missionary-minded church or individual. On the inlay card, Scott quotes from John Piper's book, Let The Nations Be Glad, to remind us that "Worship is the fuel and goal of missions." Seen in this light, the album as a whole inspires the Christian to fulfil the commission of Jesus to "go into ALL the world to preach the gospel."
