What is with the brown sofa? The CD cover has a picture of Sammy seemingly in love with this sofa - dont ask. Despite this, this is a good selection of songs, some written by Sammy himself, the rest contemporary worship (ie, Holy And Anointed, I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever). The songs written by Sammy are very good worship songs on a par with any modern worship leader you care to mention. The title track talks about straying from the path and the struggles of trying to follow God - who hasn't struggled with that at least once? This is definitely worth checking out though in a marketplace suddenly awash with contemporary worship/youth praise albums, the quality of Sammy' s songwriting and engagingly expressive voice makes it stand out. We could do with hearing more of Sammy' s own stuff, there's a talent here that needs to be heard.

First, thanks Sammy for tuning into crossrhythms with
updates. Secondly, I found the above writer's intro
comments off base; c'mon! Sammy appearing to be in love with
a sofa. Sammy is just relaxing on a sofa & enjoying the
comfort of it. "It's For YOU" opens this songset by a
welcomed addition to ccm; a nice and
soothing singer/songwriter/musician. I love "All in All"
quite a beautiful song of worship and praise. I love the
background for "Let YOUR Anointing Fall" which features
DCTalk's Michael Tait. Prior to the last 2 instrumentals on
the cd, Sammy covers the late Rich Mullin's song "I See
YOU";nice rendition with some great bgvs. GOD Bless! - Don
