With these guys already getting exposure at events like Soul Survivoc and PowerPoint, SNL proove that there are more ways to kick into Christian music ministry than aping Redman and Smith. These guys have gone for holy hip hop and, with a production from Psalmistry's Tony Silcock, turn in a credible debut EP. As with much British hip hop they've yet to establish a coherent style, often sounding too British to be completely convincing on the streetwise gangsta-style grooves but not quite inventive with the freeform rhymes to be as engaging as a Justin Thomas. However on a song like "Truth" the ricocheting rhythms and clipped raps are really effective.
