Rubicon7 is Brandon Scott and Elizabeth Thompson whose dance pop songwriting seems to be devoted to entertainment, evangelism and edification. Fans of The Echoing Green will find much here to enjoy as Rubicon7 plough the same furrow of dance beats and perfect pop melodies. Indeed Scott's vocals sound remarkably like Joey Belville. This isn't actually a bad thing as the combination of songs, voices and sounds make for a catchy album which has all the characteristics of recent releases on N-Soul and Scott Blackwell's new label, Myx. Whilst not creating anything earth shatteringly new, there's a lot that is engaging in songs like "Take My Hand", "Forever Until That Day" and the title cut. Rubicon7's solid American dance pop does the business.
