This was a pleasant surprise. Late night jazz and soul in the style of George Benson, and although Mr Gresham may be no superstar, his guitar playing is every bit as tasteful and accomplished as the great George. Roland has played with Take 6 and Little Richard, among others, and it's not hard to see why. The only thing about this that mars enjoyment after a while is the wailing backing vocals, which might have been used a little more sparingly. However, hats off to Roland, who glides through the 11 workouts here without even breaking sweat. Nice!
