How do you make a song about being happy without it being unbearably cheesy? Step up Atlanta's Robyn Christian who, with producer Sean Hill, has on "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Smile" come up with a delicious concoction based around the affirmative mid-tempo track which eats into the resistance like all good pop music should. Another track on this EP, "Dance It Out", has already made it to the playlist on Cross Rhythms radio, while the mid-tempo "Today" with its effective balance between the high, brittle verses and the surging chorus show that Robyn is an excellent, imaginative singer. Yep, a class act, whose music is better than many hit-making pop acts. But hasn't that long been the story of the crowded pop scene?
