During the '80s the husband and wife duo (sadly they are now divorced) Rob & Gilly Bennett were one of the big selling acts in UK Christian music though these days, awash as we are with instrumental albums pitched at the meditative/ambient niche, one may wonder what all the fuss was about. What the duo did was play well known worship choruses and sometimes hymns on neatly picked, classically orientated acoustic guitars. Though neither musician were up there with the Julian Breams or Segovias, they did bring a restful air to such songs as "Such Love", "So Freely", "What Kind Of Love Is This", "You Are The Vine" and dozens more. This 47-track, four-CD box set is actually a repackaging of the four albums 'The Touch' (1989), 'Such Love' (1990), 'Be Still' (1991) and 'I Will Seek Your Face' (1993), which themselves were subsequently reissued on CD. However, if you don't have them and you are looking for nimbly played instrumental versions of worship material this package could be just what you want.
