RiverCamp is a regional August Bank Holiday Bible conference, organised by Elim Pentecostal Churches. It has been running since 2002, but this (from the 2007 event) is its first live worship CD. The songs mix current worship favourites such as "Forever" and "Everlasting God" with originals, especially from worship leaders Joel Pridmore and Sam Blake. Some feature unusual arrangements. However, for this reviewer, they sound like two bands playing in different styles - one conventionally, the other (centred on the keyboards) sounding like the theme to Hill Street Blues or other '70s American cop shows. For me, it doesn't work. The remainder are presented extremely competently, but add little to existing versions. The CD is worth buying if you went to RiverCamp and want a memento, if you want Skidmore or Blake's songs, or if you don't have versions of the widely known songs here. Beyond those criteria, this is an inessential purchase.
