A bright new R&B talent from a teenager who came to the attention of us Brits when she played here doing vocals for hip hopper God Quest. What's she like? Worshipful, warm, intimate; the first three words which sprang to mind after playing this album, an offering made even more personal by the inclusion of a couple of extracts from an interview Rici did with UCB Cross Rhythms' Michael Rimmer! Rici's voice glides effortlessly over some insidious R&B grooves and is guaranteed to soothe the most weary soul. Songs like "Groovin", 'Heaven" and the mellow "Lift Your Hands" are totally irresistible. The album as a whole really ministers to the spirit and grows stronger with each play. Perfect material to relax with at the end of a stressful day!
