Keyboard based pop from a Watford based youth worker. He's called in Phil Goss to produce and so the whole thing has the studio polish we expect from anything emanating from Apple tree Studios. The songs, though a little 'obvious' in the lyrics, are reasonable with one or two having attractive melodic hooks. There's even a taste or two of great Goss rock guitar (as on 'Only You'). But the same massive problem that let down Richard's previous release 'Rock In The Storm' is again evident here - namely the chap can't sing. Pitching ranges from suspect to woeful with every song littered with dodgy note-making. My counsel, hard though it might be, would be for Richard to hand his songs to someone with more vocal talent than he possesses.
