Signed to the Reunion Record label in the late '80s, Renee Garcia had proved herself as an adept singer as a backing vocalist, most notably with Amy Grant's band but stepped into the spotlight with 'Living In The Vertical' in 1987. The following year she followed up with this Chris Eaton produced slice of pop funk. Obviously the production is solidly '80s with its keyboard driven sound but what makes this album work is the fact that the songs really stand up. So highlights include the groovy "Victim Of Circumstance" and the danceable "Perfection" as well as the closing "I Will Never Leave You". Topping everything are Garcia's tasty vocal performances which remind you that she was a class act!
