When you look at the titles on a record it can often tell you a lot about the music within. Far too often music in the mainstream has become a nod towards promiscuity. How refreshing (OK, that's enough. Ed) to find pop/dance music that states how you should feel about a love that is real and true - the love that only God can provide. Re:fresh give you dance music with a message. The production team Zarc Porter, Robbie (65dBA) and Ray Goudie - the guys behind 'Shout' - wrote the majority of the music. The first couple of tracks jump out straight away as dance floor groovers, whilst the rest grow on you with their infectious melodies. The vocals are handled by Eils who has been involved with 65dBA for many years and whose voice seems perfectly suited to this music. Some people will say that this style of music is shallow, but after seeing a church grooving to their tunes I'm sure they are truly Heaven blessed. Music to really lift the spirit and inspire the soul which would not be out of place on Radio One and which you could play to non-Christian friends. A very promising first outing.
