There's two ways of perceiving this album - one is sympathetically marvelling at the 17 songs, all but three written by Psalty's creators, Californian husband and wife team Ernie Rettino and Debby Kerner Rettino, and their ability to present Scripture in kids-sized song bites. The other is cynically, registering that there is now a Psalty's Kids Bible to be plugged in the sleeve inlay. "If you like Psalty, you're gonna LOVE Psalty's Kids Bible," the blurb goes and that this reissue of "best loved Psalty favourites" is as much to do with promoting a hot new sales line as getting kids feeding on the Word. No matter. If you don't mind your kids music all squeaky-voiced and cute and you haven't got "The Bible Alphabet Song", "I'm Gonna Fight A Giant" and "The Wa-Wa Song", here's your chance.
