A group of lions is called a pride, a flock of geese is a gaggle; what do you call a collection of praise songs? The answer is 'Shine Your Light'! The album is immaculately produced, the musicianship is excellent and the children's choir what you would expect from Integrity Music; squeaky, ail-American and cute. It is, however, just another praise album for children. It may be the crummy environment in which I move, but it has no relevance (in my opinion) to real life here in Liverpool. Perhaps it has in the US. At times it is reminiscent of the old Supergang/Kid's Praise style of children's album, but with considerably less creativity. Come back Psalty, all is forgiven. (Note for younger readers: Psalty was a cult hero of the 80s. He had the misfortune to enter a malfunctioning matter transporter carrying a blue hymnal and emerged as a mutant half-man/half-hymnbook.)
