A nicely presented CD of gospel live worship, with four lady singers, from the state of New York, and a simple traditional backing band containing percussion, bass, guitar and synths. Because of the live nature of the recording, some of the tracks are quite repetitive and go on too long. There's a lot of excellent harmonies with the ladies responding to one another in many improvised moments. These can get a little strained at times, with everyone often reverting to shouting to be heard. This does not make for comfortable listening. With live recordings of worship I often find that you need to have been there in order to get the full impact of what was/is happening; this feeling of involvement is lacking with this CD. Generally, the quality of the songs is reasonable, the most notable being "Dwelling Places". All in all an honourable attempt without taking gospel music to any new musical territory.
