Poetic Justice are a six piece formed by Dave Casswell, chaplain at Wolds Prison, North Humberside. Their mission is to communicate the despair, pain and Christian hope of many in prison today. This fine set of songs, all composed by Casswell, make their point with stark imagery yet are never sentimental or contrived. The playing throughout is excellent, the pop rock arrangements work well and this is a dazzling example of what can be done on a miniscule recording budget. We all need to share Dave's concerns for the prisoner and buying this album, or even better, getting Poetic Justice to come play your church, is a good way to start.
