Every since Plumb emerged in 1997 Cross Rhythms has been playing them (they were a band when they started) on the radio and swooning over the haunting vocals of Tiffany Arbuckle and her extraordinary ability to write songs that hang around in your head from play one. Now, after a lengthy sabbatical, Plumb re-emerges as just Tiffany herself but we’re delighted to report the lady has lost none of her catch-in-the-throat poignancy, while the haunting, mid tempo “Sink-‘n’-Swim” with the lady purring over loud guitars and cellos; the acoustic rock confession of a loose tongue “Without You”, “Boys Don’t Cry” which starts all whisperingly acoustic and explodes in a wall of guitars, all bare repeated listening. Whether there’s a classic song of the calibre of “Damaged” on here we’ll have to wait and see. What I can say though is that one of Nashville’s most gifted singer/songwriters has been away from the CD racks too long. So it’s great to see her back.

I love Tiffany Arbuckle's vocals, the first that I ever heard of Plumb was a music video. I realize that she was Plumb's voice before soloing it; just like Gwen Stefani of No Doubt: maybe she should've went by her own name. I know, not to be confused with pop icon Tiffany: maybe use her full name. Granted the main focus was on Tiffany moreso than the group.
"Sink n' Swim", "Real" & "Nice Naive & Beautiful" are the top songs from this cd; my top favorites also. I disdain "Boys Don't Cry"; the line "sipping scotch & ice" is not very appealing. Should believers sing such lyrics? "Taken" is for the loss anyone feels after losing someone they love. "Go" , the perfect closer; beautifully done; luv the lyrics. GOD Bless! -Don
