the title track has almost a 30s swing sound to it but with a gospel feel. Phil celebrates "a love that would make cupid want to hang up his bow". Sloppy enough for the most simpering romantic. The man responsible for the string and horn arrangements is a guy called William Bicklehauft - whose orchestration attempts to juxtapose Mantovani-like lushness with black gospel. But there is more of a contemporary soul gospel sound on a number of tracks on this album. The funky slap bass-line on "SomeĀthing About The Name", is hot while vocals grow to a powerful crescendo. Apart from the title track and a ballad/gospel remake of the traditional hymn, "It Is Well With My Soul", this album is a slight improvement on its predecessors. Nicholas' newest album
