Country/pop/rock is how Phil describes his music so who am I to argue, even if I confess I can hear little or no country in the Eastbourne-based singer/songwriter’s musical blend. What you do get are nicely tuneful songs with lyrics which never stray far from biblical songs of praise. Production is by the highly talented Stuart Barbour and though the programmed drums rather spoil the effect of some of the slower songs, Phil’s pleasant voice and way with a melody carries the thing through. As well as nine songs you get two remixes from Phil’s previous ‘Promise’ album. All in all not an earth shattering worship set bur maybe, just maybe, there’s a song or two here good enough to go beyond the confines of the album. We’ll see.

Hello Tony. I presume it is you!
Remember Buzz magazine in New Malden back in 1986!
I hope you are well, it would be good to hear from you.
If you remember I had the VW Beetle in those days, and I
used to do the paste up on the magazines.
