It's great to see the way the youth culture expression of the Stoneleigh Bible Week has developed down the years to its current prominent position as a spearhead showcase for youth worship. Alongside Re.vive's omnipresent Paul Oakley, there's excellent live worship here from Phatfish, Blaze (rather confusingly credited Paul Booth on the back sleeve) and Tree and all hit home. My current favourites are a piece of prophetic, spontaneous worship from Rhys Scott (another name to watch for in the future) and Blaze's tender-hearted "Heart Of The Father" but wherever you look you'll find worship glowing with passion and luminous sincerity. If you were at Stoneleigh's National Agricultural Centre you've no doubt already got your order in for this one. But if, like me, you're excited by what God is doing among the young people of this nation, this gutsy, emotive album will be a salient reminder that constant TV images of e-popping clubbers, drunken slappers and self-obsessed students in no way tell the whole story. As Re.vive's organiser Matt Hosier echoes on this CD, we dare to believe for something more.
