Paul Baloche has made his name as one of the best known worship leader/song-writers around today with songs such as "Open The Eyes Of My Heart" and "Above All" being sung in churches all around the world. This album, recorded live in his home church, Community Christian Fellowship in Lindale, Texas, is a collection of 12 new songs of worship written and co-written by Paul and a host of other well known worship leaders such as Brenton Brown and Graham Kendrick. The live feel and sound works well in catching the passion and devotion that has inspired Paul to write these songs. In fact, the sound and style as a whole is not dissimilar to fellow American worship leader/songwriter Chris Tomlin, and like Tomlin, Paul seems to have a real gift for writing a catchy yet theologically sound song for congregational worship. Songs like opener "Hosanna" and the Matt Redman co-written "A Greater Song" have simple yet strong melodies that build to a powerful chorus of exhortation. This CD is well worth adding to your collection and as it has an enhanced element it means that chord charts and lyrics for all the songs can be downloaded and used in your own church or time of worship.
