It's important for any reviewer to be honest about their own preferences, so let me say from the outset - I do not like praise and worship albums. I probably should, but I just don't. So you can imagine my trepidation when this album dropped through the door and I put it into my player. And right from the first track I found my prejudices totally unfounded. From the rock guitars of "I'm Calling Out" and the mandolin and string arrangements of the excellent "This Fathomless Love" through to the piano-accompanied "More Than Life Itself" and the driving "For Me", this is a slickly produced album with some polished performances. Admittedly the quality of the various soloists is sometimes good rather than great, but there are some real standout moments, none more so than the haunting "I Bow Down" - a track which truly draws you into reflective worship. This album doesn't take praise and worship in any new radical direction, but it certainly opened this reviewer's ears and mind. Dave Harris
