Opus 2000 is a duo based in Wigan consisting of instrumentalist/composer/singer Andy Proctor and co-songwriter Les Edwards (who also preaches at their gigs). Through adept use of a home studio, what Andy has produced here is an engaging sound which you could call "light disco", though the dance beat is someway short of club land. They report that during four years in ministry they have seen 200 people saved and over 100 people healed. Not that Andy is lacking in the creative department. Les recounts that the day Andy got saved he turned down a £250K recording contract with Factory Records to "sing only for God". Thank God he did. His music is technically excellent with easy rhythm guitar/keyboards supporting vocals that are sometimes tender, sometimes soar. This guy just loves to worship! Musically, and spiritually, I would say we have a new Bryn Haworth. Give this man a recording contract!!
