Described as a group of friends getting together to worship God, One Hope Project offer a collection of both well known and unfamiliar choruses. The opener "Be Thou My Vision" sets out the musical stall with an electric guitar-driven sound. Highlights for me are the engaging and energetic "Shout For Joy" and the rock-based "The Veil". There is a minor issue when listening closely however. The congregation which can be heard on most of the tracks creates an authentic atmosphere but sadly allows for a little off key singing at times, which is a shame given the high quality singing and musical skills of the ensemble themselves. This release, the first from the British Catholic label, is a promising start.
