After a hiatus of 25 years, Austin, Texas-based One Bad Pig returned in 2016 with this much anticipated crowd-funded offering. The outcome could best be described as a comfortable pair of slippers for their many original followers. In no way a criticism, this is just a statement that you know exactly what is in order as soon as the music hits the speakers. High energy, traditional, old-school Oi Punk presented with bucket loads of fun. Immediately recognisable, Carey 'Kosher' Womack has a voice that has lost none of its power over the years and delivers the title track with a driving rawness. Throughout the recording gang vocals interject with playful regularity such as on the tongue-in-cheek "What Does The Fool Say". The first two tracks are typical OBP and only a few cuts vary from the Texas two-step feel that is the essence of these veteran artists. A heavier note is introduced with a guest appearance from Bloodgood's Les Carlson who trades vocal licks in "Get Your Hands Dirty". Personally, I enjoyed the nostalgic "Sunday School Rawk" which featured a medley of old time Sunday school songs that get a ramped up Pig treatment along with the fan inspired "Ben Moors". Although there is certainly a playful nature revealed in the lyrics of these 15 tracks, it is clear that OBP desire to communicate their faith with direct and forthright lyrics and over the years they have developed a style where grungy tub thumping riffs carry a clear message throughout. With this their fifth studio album the original line up have not tried to update their sound or style, turning in a recording that is full of fun and frolicking that will be enjoyed by original fans and new fans alike who enjoy the party created by traditional punk rock music.
