Lagos-born Oluwakemi Kemi Ikotun, to give the lady her full name, is a singer, songwriter and worship leader and an ordained minister in the Redeemed Christian Church Of God. She is currently a member of the ministry team at RCCG Power Of Jehovah in Woolwich, London. Although there are tinges of urban worship and highlife here and Oluwakemi's lyrics are full of joyful declarations of her love for God too much of her accompaniments rely on the programming of producer Alexander Victor. For all its flaws the music is inherently bouncy and you will probably find your foot tapping away for a few seconds. Oluwakemi's voice is beautiful and her Nigerian heritage is evident in her musical style making this album heavy in the rhythm section, this is particularly evident in the song "Lift Him Up" while "Owner Of Power" has a hint of reggae woven into its thick tapestry of sound. The lady can certainly sing and demonstrates a heart for worship but better production is clearly needed.
