An album of pleasant harmonies and mediocre rhythm tracks that never quite gets into top gear. Despite the presence of guest musicians the calibre of Justo Almario and Alex Acuna, the instrumentation is curiously understated in favour of the vocal textures. Think of Commissioned from about five years ago and then subtract the most exciting vocal swoops and chord changes and you've just about summed up Nu Vision. It's pleasant but rarely thrilling and slips into the background too quickly. It's a shame because there's enough musical prowess there; it just needs a few sparks of imagination to bring it out and raise the whole project beyond the mundane.
