Emerging from the embers of For Today, guitarists Ryan and Brandon Lietru joined with members from Silent Planet and A Bullet For Pretty Boy to release a well-received EP in 2016. This is their long awaited first full length release that is comprised of nine brutal and crushing tracks. Although elements of their parent bands can be heard in the complex riffing and open breakdowns, there is an addition of circle pit hardcore thrown into the mix to add a little jeopardy as rat-a-tat drums pound with metronomic regularity. Nothing Left produce a wall of noise that has subtle shades from the doom laden intro of "Dust To Dust" to the menacing slow breakdowns of "Beneath The Surface". All this is then seasoned by the visceral vocals of Danon Saylor. Highlights include the album's opener which drives forward at breakneck speed and "Disconnected", another high octane track that reveals the quality of the recording. Guitars have a crisp but deep tone that never lets up at all. The only problem that I had with the recording is that as you progress through the tracks, it becomes more and more difficult to distinguish between them. All have a similar tempo and demand the listener's attention by brute force. 'Disconnected' will please fans of confrontational metal, played with skill.
