Having been executive minister of music for the Presiding Bishop of the Churches Of God In Christ (COGIC) Dr Norman Hutchins is also a pastor, founder of Frontline Ministries, songwriter, worship leader and accomplished musician. Here he draws on this wide experience to minister on a number of levels via a number of outlets alongside his musical gifting. With all this in mind, this recording is not Hutchins' best. It is gospel with a strong inspirational MOR flavour and as such lacks some of the punch and dynamism of the gospel genre that is Hutchins' usual home. Yes, it is personal, quite well written with simple melodies and has easy to sing words in places but the production feels somewhat weedy and songs are a little repetitive. Highlights of the album showcase Hutchins' excellent guitar work; the rocky "Dwelling In Your Presence", "Your Love Is Amazing" and "I've Been Redeemed" and along with the poppy opener "I Trust In You" these make up the strongest tracks on the disc. Other songs though lack substance.
